With the success of the Heritage Oaks Bank Family Fun Day and Fun Run in Paso Robles, the event has branched out to the city of Santa Maria.

Heritage Oaks Bank presents, in conjunction with the Elks Rodeo and the City of Santa Maria, the 4th annual Santa Maria Style Family Fun day and Fun Run on May 31st, 2008.

The marquee event will be the Santa Maria Style 5K presented by the Santa Maria Times newspaper. This race will be run downtown on Broadway, immediately before the Elks Rodeo parade.

Other events include the kids' half mile run, presented by PG&E, and a kids' half-mile run presented by Conoco-Phillips.

The event will be staged at the Town Center West parking lot. A pancake breakfast, sponsored by the Kiwanis Club, headlined the post-race activities.

Each participant will receive a race day t-shirt and a race medal commemorating the City of Santa Maria's Centennial celebration.

All entry fee proceeds go to P.L.A.Y. (People for Leisure & Youth Inc.) This is the Santa Maria Recreation Department's non-profit organization that supports the city's recreation programs.
